I have 2 Marineland tanks a 5g and a 20g that come with LEDs. Are these lights strong enough to grow Zoo's or any type of coral if that?

Ha. No.

Those are 0.1 watt LEDs. Total wattage is less than 5 W. but none of the Marineland lights are reef capable.

Dang it lol! I guess I'll be making a DIY led lighting then lol. Dont have the money to buy a light for the 5 gallon, I just bought a dimmable Tao for my 35 gallon lol

Does anyone have an alternative? I know I read someone buying LED's from like Lowe's?

For a 5 gallon look into par30 or par38 bulbs. I bought 2 from boosted.com for a 20 gallon.. Rapid led also has their version.. Just don't get the ones they sell at home depot
