maxi jet 400 in my reef

today i broke my koralia pump in my 29 gallon so went out and purchased maxi jet 400 for my 29 gallon and i didnt have time to put it in my tank so my dad did he said it seems to powerful and theres like a big whirlpool in my tank. is this posabe or is he just over exagerating because i know he does that alot.

It may seem that way but it should still be fine as long as the fish can swim around

yea they are fine now but before my clownfish back fin got cut but hes healed now
