Do you guys have the air tube open to have air bubbles coming out of it? I'm not sure what the purpose of that would be....

No real reason to have the air venturi working on a saltwater tank. The purpose of it would be to have the bubbles oxygenate the water when they break on the surface, however you can just point the powerhead at the surface to do that.

Plus (and I'm not really sure) but I think some corals don't like the microbubbles...

Also fish can swallow the bubbles and develop swim bladder.

I thought thats how puffers got the air to blow up. LOL
