Maxi-jet powerhead

hey i just bought a maxi jet 600 powerhead and after about 3 days it started humming really loud so i took it out.Anybody elses does this?if so did you fix it.

pulling it apart and cleaning the impeller is the only maintenance I have ever had to do. If that dosen't work look into a replacement.

have 3, nothing like that happened to mine. definately exchange it.

they have a warranty for 1 year i think but try cleaning the insides good first

If there isn't any trash in the impeller chamber, you have a defective PH. These are the best inexpensive PH's available IMO. I have some that are 6 years old and still running. Shouldn't be any problem to get it warrantied.
