metal halide, t-5, or both?

I've had t-5 lighting for a while and really want halides so I can get sps corals and clams :) but which is better mh or both because I've seen a lot of fixtures that have both mh and t-5s
 
I believe those dual units have the T5's for the blues and the MH is more the "white". Least that's the way i see the setups sold and in stores too. :)

36x18x21(60 gallons) and that's one thing I need help on what do you advise I get for it halide whise right now I have a 36 in t-5 set (4 bulbs) in there I don't really know the kelvin specs on them
 
i would recommend using a 6x39watt with individual reflectors and ATI lamps. wit this you shoudl be able to house SPS in the mid to top sections of your tanks and LPS on the substrate

the rule of thumb is to use one lamp per 3-5 inches of aquarium width wit ha tube extending the length of the tank.
