Mg too high?

I did my first Mg test this past weekend with the Salifert kit. After the syringe was emptied (indicating 1500ppm Mg), the sample was still deep purple, and hadn't changed to grey/blue yet. I didn't continue with a 2nd syringe of reagant to get a final value, though.

I'm not dosing Mg, or adding it via Tech M (or any other product). I'm guessing this is just a "build up" from my salt mix. Is there a point where it gets too high? If so, how can it be removed?

I'd want to test again before I believed in such a mag build up.

I never got around to checking last week, but checking tonight gave a reading of 1560. A little on the high side, but I'm not worried about it.
