Yes, they are crimp on. It's easier to solder them.

Yea, that's right I did my original calc for the 6 volt for you. Sorry, So you can still use the 100 ohm resistor if you can't get the 115 ohm. They would be slightly brighter with the 100 ohm. Don't mean this to sound funny but do you have any alligator clips? You need at least 1 but 2 would be better. before you start soldering you need to clip the alligator clip onto the led lead, It will absorbe some of the heat away from the actual led.

Yea, we do but we only put it on while soldering right?? and the heat shrink will go over the led that has the one prong electrical taped so it wont cause short circuit. Also my cd player adapter, do I cut off the end and just solder the rj connector??

Yes, you can actually put it on both if you want.

You can, yes. just follow the directions on the paperwork to get it right, I didn't do mine that way so I don't know how well it works. It seems like a good plan though.
