That depends a lot on what you got inside your tank. Any pictures? People can help you out a lot more with an action plan if they knew what you got.

Couple buckets put your water in with your live rock and corals ( separate accordingly). Leave a little water in tank for sand to stay wet,put some water movement or air stone with corals while your setting up tank to keep them Fresh.?

Shouldn't he wash his sand out? All the gases and stuff that was trapped in the sand could come out when moved and nuke the tank. I read a lot about that happening, and it's because people think they can move it and everything would be fine if it's just a small move. Could be something to look into.

This seemed like good info for a tank move.

Just be careful when moving your tank and tank mates.

Please let us know how things went. Best of luck too you. This is always something scary every one with a tank will go though sometime in their lifetime.
