So I'm going to move my 55 gallon tank from the back room to the living room. Anybody have experience moving tanks? I'm planning on siphoning all the water out into bins and taking the rocks out that arent touching the sand (don't want to stir up the sand bed). I have tile floors so I can put the corners of the stand on something that slides and slide it to the living room. Any tips or ideas would be appreciated!

Put something on top of the sand so when your pour your water back in you don't disturb the sandbed.

I've had to move my tank twice, its a p.i.t.a. lol. If you take out all the LR and water, you might be able to slide it with some assistance. It will still be very heavy though and you run the risk of the tank falling off the stand.

Just moved it last week and it's doing great, no problems moving it and I didn't lose any fish. But I thought I was going to lose my clown at first.
