Moving Tank??

Hey all, I am moving and I need to move my tank, 55 gal. I was going to get a big trash can (a clean one), and put most of the water and rock in that. I would put my fish in two seperate 5 gallon buckets. I have a DSB, should I scoop the sand out and put it in buckets also. And maybe leave a little of the sand in the tank. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
