I came home this evening and found a big fatty mushroom sitting on the bottom of my tank. It looks like one of the bigger mushrooms popped off of the rock that it's attached to. This may sound strange but should I take it out or should I leave it (will it re-attach to something?)

Thank you!

It will attach itself somewhere; either the substrate or it will float around if it can get picked up by the current and settle on some rock. If I were you I'd put it somewhere I would want it to stay. They usually attach pretty quickly.

When they get crowded they will fall off and go somewhere else. I have this happen alot in my tank. I have many in the substrate and lots allover my rock. This problem is good because later on you`ll be able to take the colonies of resettled ones and sell them back to your LFS for store credit. I have made over 300.00 with mine.
