Mushroom eaten by anemone

So I have a very hungry rose bubble-tip anemone. I have a few stars and stripes mushrooms in my tank and one of them broke off the rock and began floating in my tank well, it went to close to the anemone and got caught in its tentacles. I thought the anemone would let it go but it didn't it closed up and ate it. Had anyone else's seen or heard of this happening ? U thought they were family lol
