Since mushrooms are just about the least light requiring coral, will a two bulb t5 fixture be best?
I'm asking for optimum color and growth, not just survivability.
2 bulb, 4 bulb, reef capable marineland leds?

Thanks Mr. Doug.
I've been all over the place with what I want to do with my tank. I believe it is 18" deep and am considering doing mushrooms only, collecting any species I can get. This means I would likely be growing them on some of the higher rockwork.

A standard 75 is 18" front to back, but 21" deep. 21" and change actually. Not only will a 4 lamp allow you to keep a colorful tank, but it will allow you a better assortment of lamps.

I like ATI blue plus and ATI Aquablue specials. Anything else you can get a bit creative with, but I would put something with a little red in it in the mix, like a Midday sun or an aqua flora, but just one of those. So, 2 blue plus, 1 aquablue special, and perhaps a midday.

awesome. thanks for the advice. we have decided to go ahead and definitely do a mushroom species tank.
