Aquarium Advice Freak
I had a spare 10g tank laying around. So i decided to relocate acouple of my tank mates into it while keeping my 40b just for my newest addition 
So far I have a HOB skimmer, 18w sterilizer and a ML powerhead on the 40 (2 months old). While i swithched the ML emperor 400 onto the 10g tank (2 weeks old)
