Yellow watchman gobies don't usually take to pairing with a shrimp (they're not known shrimp gobies)
They do pair indeed. It is one of the well known shrimp gobies that'll hang out with a pistol shrimp.

This has me concerned and wondering if the tank did cycle. Should've had a nitrite and ammonia spike.
Yea This concerns me too. I am keeping a close eye on things. I have read serveral post that say the only had a small cycle. When adding cured rock.

I was told that there must be enough bacteria on the rock or after 4 days of the shrimp being in there I would've had a spike. I did have a small ammonia and nitrite reading but they 0 out after a week. I tested and I had the lfs test. After the last time I tested at the lfs he told me to wait 2 weeks then slowly add fish.

I really don't think your tank cycled fully IMO.

I will test the water every other day for 2 weeks. My readings today are at 0. I am keeping my fingers crossed and will be prepared to do water changes. I guess that is all I can do.
