I got my 3 stage RO from ARS today. It's all set up & it's running at 48 psi. We did let it run for the required time first also. We tested our tap water with the TDS meter & it tested around 170 ppm. Our filtered water tests at 7 ppm, is this about right? The lower # on the TDS is the one we want correct? How high should the #ppm get before we need to change the filter?

Also, it filled a 1 gallon jug in 22 min, is this right or too fast?

I would set up a DI filter at the outlet of your RO. Your TDS will drop to 0. The TDS shouldn't increase, the output will decrease. That will indicate when you need to change the membrane.

Not worried about the DI yet. Thanks for input on output decreasing.
