my tank is four months old and I have a four inch sand bed. as time has passed my sand has shifted based on currents, my gobies etc. My 40pd reef has shifted a little and now a few points of the reef are touching and leaning against my glass back. what should I do to straighten out my reef? i realize now that I should have put the live rock on some type of a base but it's too late for that now.

You coudl pull the top layers out of the tank and then gently push (while rotating left/right) the rock at the sand level down into the sand a few inches. This will help with your gobies digging. Then redo the top laters of the rock.
