Got jolted out of bed around midnight last night by a 5.0 shaking my house. Kids were yelling, dogs going crazy and my first thought was......oh man, I hope my tank holds it together...lol

It did, I didn't have to clean up 125 gallons of water, coral, sand and rock off my living room floor.

I don't really want to test it again though, this one was enough...lol

Thats unnerving... Glad everyone is OK. Glad that beautiful tank is OK as well.

Glad you are okay! My brother lives pretty close to North Dallas, where the Tornado hit, all fine, but glad to hear you and your family and pet friends are safe!

I live in New England so I don't have to worry about natural disasters a whole lot. What precautions do you take for earthquakes? I know in California you have to so things like strapping in water heaters.

We had a 4.8 earthquake as well. Lasted 10 seconds perhaps. I was glad to see my aquariums survived. Scary stuff
