I just got a maxima clam a few weeks ago and placed it on my sandbed. The weird thing is the clam is moving! Is this normal? I would assume he is looking for the proper light and flow like a nem would?

Is it ok to move the clam from the sandbed to a rock higher up? I hear they will attach their foot to the substrate and once it's in there it's in there not to be moved.

Just wondering what other people have done and if their clams moved too.

Thanks folks!

Just to be certain, the clam is in a 20g standard rimless tank. Theres not much depth tot he tank and I have a t5 quad bulb fixture. Still move him upwards?
