My yellow tang and clown fish are best buds?

It seems one of my ocelleris clownfish, the larger of the pair, is best friends with my yellow tang. Not sure how this happened but the clownfish makes a point to hang around the tang, and they get really close to eachother. The pair of clowns still are together a lot, but i've noticed that the tang and female clown are really becoming good friends as of late. Now for my question:

Is this normal, and is there anything that could go wrong with this situation?

It just seems odd to me and I was wondering if anyone else had a similar experience.

Probably normal. Several fish in my tank have become friends as you describe.

I don't know how normal it is but after reading this post, I'm believe it's more normal than not. I have a pair of maroon clowns that were tight til I added a yellow tang. Now the clowns hang out in separate anemones and the female clown and tang are inseparable. The home wrecker. lol
