Mysis Shrimp Stink!

so i've started feeding PE mysis shrimp to my tank and i've noticed that it leaves a film on the surface of the water and stinks everything up.....

i cant even get the smell off my hands (washed over 10 times with soap)

I have 2 powerheads pointed at the surface of the water but it doesnt seem to be helping with the nasty smell

any suggestions?

Frozen? Wonder if it's bad, having been thawed, went bad, and was re-frozen. I thinking it shouldn't smell funky, but like fish instead normally smells.

yeah i think it might have thawed and re frozen..... cuz the smell is just ridiculously strong.... i usually cant even smell the frozen brines hrimp.... but these, i can smell them for the rest of the day after feeding

I feed PE mysis to mine and there is no film or smell. Definitely sounds like a rotten batch.

you should be thawing and rinsing that stuff anyway. this is why i make my own fresh food.
