I don't believe it to be true that they can't host, just that it is not natural for them. From what I have read, many times they can be fatally injured by a clownfish that doesn't understand why they react negatively. Hopefully yours will adapt well and have continued success.

Well, condys are natural hosts...just not to clownfish. In the carribean they host gobies and shrimp also..I think.

Pardon my vagueness......."just that it is not natural for them...." to host clownfish. 
I didn't go into much detail because hosting a clownfish was the topic . I would continue the warning though that because of this, it may not be a "symbiosis" as people think of with a true clownfish/anemone pair and the anemone may suffer from the relationship. Just a cause for concern to watch out for, not trying to break up the couple .
