Nano reef noob (please help!)

My clowns were $17 each. They're not expensive unless you get a designer clown. My midnight clowns were $100 for the pair and they were aholes. The nano clowns, at least mine, are very sweet and docile.

At my lfs the normal cheapest clown are 29.99

There is no such thing as a nano clownfish. Ocellaris Females hit 3-3.5” and males stay about 1.5”. Perculas get a bit larger, which are the two main clown species you’ll see for sale. A pair in a 10 gallon is pushing it. My female whose about a year and a half old is over 3” in my 40.

Both of mine are about a year and both are an inch and a half, the females is a little bigger, maybe an inch and a quarter.
