after i get my lights hooked up i plan on getting either a ritteri (heteractis magnifica) or a purple long tentacle. i was wondering if you guys had any tips or anything on anemones should be acclimated like how long, what rate should i add water, should i keep the lights on when i add them or should i turn them off, should i put them in the subsrate first or on a slab of rock?

First question is how old is your tank? And what type of water do you use. What type of lighting do you have.

Anemones are delicate creatures and should only be kept in a mature tank with good water quality. IMO you need to take your time and drip acclimate them keeping the water warm. Check your SG and then check the SG of the LFS water, drip until they match and then go another hour at least.. It should take several hours to drip right. Fish should be done the same way just not as long..
