Need help to add sand.

I have been frantically trying to catch a damsel that we have dawned as the demon damsel in my tank. After many attempts using nets, food, and a minnow trap to catch him, I finally broke down and pulled everything out of my tank. I have the live rock put back in and the corals put back in place, and used a siphon hose to clean the sand up. I lost a lot of the live sand in the process. How do I add more sand to the tank? Thanks for the help.

If it's live sand just add straight out of the bag. If it's play sand etc, rinse it thoroughly before adding to your tank.
