Need to lower CA

Did a water test today and found that my CA is @ 800, ALK 7.5, PH 8.1 - 8.3, NH3 0, Ites 0. I use Oceanic salt. I dont have any hard corals but do have 2 medium sized polyps and 1 small one. I have over 90 lbs of LR in a 75 gal tank. I guess the real question here is... how to lower CA and raise ALK? Thanks all

Okay, first of all, what additives are you currently adding and in what increments. What test kit did you use, and did you run more than one test to confirm 800ppm? That seems nearly impossible to me. Not saying it is, but my lord that would be a new record at least for this guy. Lets start there. I don't think you are in any immediate danger, so relax and lets figure this one out.

Here's to swimmin with bowlegged women.

-105G SPS Reef with 30G Sump/Fuge Combo
-30G LTAnemonarium with mated porcelain crabs, 10 sexy shrimp, and 2 pink skunks all tied into the other 135G in my system.

I find that with the craze of the Oceanic salt, most people are switching over but not aware that if you have just a FO or a FOWLR tank that has little or no coraline algae growth, the Oceanic salt will raise your calcium and magnesium too high.

For my FOWLR tank, I just use IO. For my reef tank, nothing but Oceanic!
