It's 100g reef with sump and refugium. Aquaray lights with controller. Deltec MC500 skimmer. Koralia power heads hoping to upgrade these to Vortechs.

Thanks I totally agree. I've only put a minimal amount down just for appearance. A plan on syphoning the surface detritus very now and then and eventually replace the sand all together.

I've added a refugiumg with Chaeto however does look very much at the moment. I've also ordered some copepods and phytoplankton as I wish I keep a mandarin in months to come.

Anyone have experience with mandarins? How long do I need to wait before adding one. Baring in mind I will be adding a small amount of copepods next week.

I picked up one early when my tank was only 4 months old. But it was a moved tank vice brand new, so it already had a good pod population. I think with a bottle you could be good to go.
