new 20lbs of live rock

last night i bought 20lbs of lr to add to my current 45lbs. i have the rock curing in a 10 gal bucket with a mj 1200 circulating the water. ammonia read 2.0 today. anyway the powerhead i am using is the same one i use to mix my fresh sw for the tank. can i stop the circulation in the lr for a day while i mix sw for the tank while the rock cures? or should i just break down and get another powerhead?

Buy a cheap powerhead. No more than you will use it buy the cheapest thing they have and avoid the chance of something going wrong with the LR.
