that's a good idea I've seen a few at my LFS, they're not too aggressive right?

Royal Grammas and Aggressive are antonyms. Very shy and nice fish, have great personality if they warn up though.

Any idea why my clowns are doing some kind of weird twitching dance with each other? so strange looking but then they snap out of it and go back to normal

Could be several things.
-Submission, where the least aggressive is accepting that the other is Leader.
-Pairing, like getting married
-Breeding, where they are trying for babies.

Oh okay good they've stopped this behavior and are happily back together.

It's a dominance thing, one is submitting to the other most likely
