Defo looks like a spaghetti worm though

I believe you are correct Marty. I was doing some research and found that they are in fact spaghetti worms. I was reading that they are very beneficial to a reef system. The spaghetti worm eats detritus and cleans the sand bed.

Haven't seen my blue spotted jawfish in a while. I'm afraid he may have died. I've looked on the floor and in the sump and cant find him.

I messed up and bought a jeweled hermit crab. I thought all hermit crabs were reef safe. NOT this one. So in the sump he will go. He is huge. His shell is 5 inches across from point to point. I didn't realize he was that big either. I will try to get a good picture of him later.

Whoa,.... That's a monster !! Sumps are cool places to hide the misfits from your tank and they even seem to take care of things down below too.

Yes they do my friend. I have a crab down in the sump that was a hitchhiker on an order of corals. He was a tiny thing about as big as my thumb nail and now he is about 4 inches across his shell.

My tank has a drip leak coming out the front top. I had put some silicone on the spot when i first noticed it but the tank was running when i did that. I want to repair it during a water change. I guess i need to know can i do this and leave the tank not running for 48 hrs during the cure time? If anyone has any suggestions on how to do this repair i would greatly appreciate it.

48 hours is overkill for silicone dry time. 24 at max. I would just lower the water level during a water change. Remove what silicone you can and apply new.
In times of need on plumbing that was leaking, I've applied silicone while the system was running. It was on the outside of the system, so it didn't do anything to the system and it worked as intended.

24 hrs. should be good on the silicone. Love the new halloween hermit! Mine is my favorite.

Ok thanks Hank and Paul. Apreciate the help. I want to get it done as soon as possible due the salt creep im getting on the front of the tank. I love the holloween hermits to, they are really cool looking.
