Hey Rob,
Why did you ditch the Bio-pellet reactor? I've heard conflicting accounts of using those, mostly bad ones!

Ohh OK. What do you think of the bio pellets? Have you seen any benefit?

I have seen the no3 drop to .01 bit the phosphate is still around 20 ppm so I am going to run some Gfo to help get it down

Cool thanks, trying to figure out how I want to approach reactors for my tank. I'm thinking a large reactor for GFO and a large reactor for Carbon. The BRS dual reactor is too small.
But I was thinking about bio-pellets too

Sounds like some pellets may have gotten into the line, water wouldn't do that.

I saw in your picture you were using the black circles of foam, in the phosban you need to get the screens to prevent pellets from getting through. here is the link for the ones I added to my phosban to run the pellets

PhosBan Reactor NPX Screen for use with Bio Pellets - English

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.
