New Fuge - Please help me out!

Just added a 10g fuge to my 180g, I put some Caribsea Aragonite and some Mineral Mud in and it is YELLOW-BROWN SOUP!
A little got into the main tank and made it cloudy, is that ok?
Will it settle? Can I add my Cheato or should I wait?
Should I keep the Valve closed or open it? I put a Hang on Filter on it to help get the crud out.

Did you add the mineral mud to the water in the fuge or add water to the mud? Either way it should settle out in fairly quick order.

I did not connect my fuge to my maintank until it settled out. That cut down on the cloudiness in the main tank. It will settle out and shouldn't hurt anything. Also the plants can go in immediately. They will need to be swished off once everything is settled since they will get the mud and debris on them, but other then that, they will be fine.

I had a HOB filter on it all night and it is nice and clear this morning.
I am wondering how much of the Aragonite and the Mineral Mud I should put in?
I got about an inch so far.
