Like the title says, I had some new, unused (just rinsed) Phosban GFO released into my barebottom reef this morning. I though the pump was gated back, but I was wrong, and it pushed some through my reactor into the tank. The pump is gated back now and the reactor is still running, but the GFO is tumbling about half way up the reactor and not being released into the tank.
I'm assuming, since the GFO is new (i.e. no phosphates are bound to it) that it won't hurt the corals or fish. Am I correct? I am going to siphon it out, but might not have enough time for at least a few days, unless it's an emergency. Any thoughts are much appreciated!
