New Green Finger

I just purchased this new green leather finger coral yesterday. Today a portion of it is a brownish color and producing a slime. Is this normal for this type of coral to do this?

Thanks War, how long does this slime last? This morning there were two long stings coming off it.

well i found it wil make the slim when it is not open for a few days. but it might take like 2-3 day for it all to fall off. they also do this about once a month to get off stuff from there body. takes about a week for them to mak all the slime.
