New live stock.....nitrate question?

An adding new live stock Cause a temporary spike in nitrates? Or should I be in search of a different cause?

I haven't been in SW in a while, but, yeah. Your system is acclimated to a certain bio-load, and you just increased it, so you would see a spike until everything has a chance to catch up.
