NEW PURPLE sea urchin!!

hi everyone, I am new to this forum & new to the salt water fish hobby. I just put (2) urchins in my tank today and i noticed they are "laying eggs"? or "spitting something" out! IS this normal or are they stressed out because of a new tank? Will the sea urchin hurt any kind of a anenome?

Is it coming out of the top center? If so it is going to the bathroom.

Agreed. It's pooping. It will not hurt any anemones too much (worst it could do is bumb into it). Same with corals, although their compatibility with leathers is debated in the hobby. They do munch on coraline algae. Overall, a great algae grazer.

Mine killed my Xenia. Its spine poked thorugh the stalk and it died...I do have several little babys tho.

Mine are eating machines! It's funny to see my pincushion get too close to my Blue Devil. He comes out and tries to bully it, but doesn't like the spine! He gets so mad and turns really dark blue, then decides he can't move it and continues on...
