I just added about a dozen snails to my tank and they all seem to like to stay right at the top of the tank right at the water line. Is this normal? I tried to pull one off and out it right in the middle of an"dirty" spot on glass, but was surprised how string they were and stopped. Can I hurt them or is there a proper method?

You just have to leave them. They take abit of time to settle. They have to find there way they will get around the tank it just takes time. I have 5 snails 3 very small babies and 2 sloghtly bigger apple snais. And it took them abit of time to get used to it

Thanks. I also have some hermits and a shrimp. Shrimp is hiding, but seems to be getting used to new environment.

Welcome. And cool thats sounds good. One of my apple snails is floating round the tank on a peice of apple

Why would you put a piece of apple in your tank?
