Niger Trigger

Looking for advice on one of these. I think its beautiful, but am wary of the implications to my crabs and snails. Is there anyone out there with personal experience with this fish? Any luck keeping it with inverts?

I think it may be a danger to the crabs, although hermits might do better than true crabs. They are considered reef friendly.

For what its worth I,ve kept A juve. Niger in a reef and I never had any problems with crabs or snails being attacked.He was the most shy of all the fish in there. I also have some green headed gobies which are less then an inch long and he didnt try to eat them either.

I'd also like to add that he was the last fish added to the system which may account for the shynes.Ive never personaly witnesed any hostility from him,even leaves my shrimp alone.

Not reef safe (although in some cases they might be) but reef friendly.
