Right on. I thought the corals were having more of a specific gravity issue than a nitrate issue. 1.025 is FAR safer. I'd freak out if I ever saw 1.030!
Bring it down slowly over a couple of days. Take out about one gallon of tank water in the morning and add back a gallon of RO. Again at night and so on until you read 1.025-1.026.
