Noisy pump

The pump on my internal filter has suddenly humming fairly loudly since did a water change, I can't figure out why so I have ordered a new one, can the noise stress my fish????

I don't think so. They live in a pretty loud environment in the wild.

Have you taken the pump apart and cleaned it out?

Often the mag drive pumps get algae and other stuff gooped up around the magnet/impeller and can cause the pump to get noisy and or stop.

Yeah cleaned it all and it's still fairly noisy..
