Noiw I've seen everything.

Well maybe not but I just got my first look at a blue legged hermit crab changing homes. That is one slick operation. The only problem I saw was his new house and his old were the same size. he kept switching back and forth.

oh yes that is great. Or better yet when he gets a new home that used to be one of your harmless snails.

Yea, I actually found these shells under a rock in another tank. They used to have snails in them

I use teeny dwarf hermits, and big turbos now. The little hermits have a tough time manhandling the big snails so the snail death toll stays super low.

My red hermits were getting huge and unruly. I traded 'em in.

I added about a dozen small blue legs about 6 weeks ago...now I have 4 MONSTOR blue legs and 8 small ones. Somehow, 4 of them have gotten very large very fast, while the others have remained small. (male vs. female maybe?)

There are plenty of shells to grow into lying around. More all the time as the snails "vacate" them. (that's a nice way to say they were murdered and evicted)
