can anyone tell me another type of "measurement per gallon" other than *watts*? that doesnt really measure actual intensity of the light.. can anyone tell me a thumb approximate of LUMENS per a gallon which an anemone will need? reply asap pls.

You need high intensity lighting. Any kind of anything per gallon is a poor way of judging if it will be adequate or not. The distance and amount is a much better measurement. A 55 hex wll put the light a couple feet higher than than a 55 standard, but contain the same amount of water, so the #'s don't match up.
