old castle silica????

I was walking through Meijer late last night and saw some playsand sitting out and it had the old castle logo at the bottom. Upon closer inspection, however, its 100% silica =(

they arent switching from aragonite are they?

Send a message via ICQ to jackdp
I believe that the aragonite sand is branded as "Tropical Playsand from the Caribbean" They may also make a silica play sand. Quickcrete's playsand is silica based.

I don't know if anyone in IN has posted yet, but we're keeping an eye out all over for the good stuff. The sticky thread at the top of this forum is where folks are posting where they're finding the good stuff: http://www.aquariumadvice.com/viewtopic.php?t=22188

rossv,

I am here in IN also. Maybe we can pool some resources (although I am not so sure it will help). I have been to every HD that I know of and can't find any. Also, a friend on another forum said that the HD in Louisville carrys it all of the time and, all of a sudden, this year they don't carry it anymore. I think that the locations for this stuff are dwindling fast.

Where in IN do you live?
