One of my maxi-jets keeps burping up volumes of air bubbles. Certainly doesn't hurt anything but it sure clouds the water with micro bubbles. It's 2 months old. Anybody ever have this happen?

Thanks all.

It's getting air from somewhere or the impeller is cavitating. Is it close to the surface? If so, do you have the plug inserted in the airline connection on the output side of the PH? If you don't, it could be pulling some air from the surface. Check your intake screen. If it's dirty, try cleaning it. Also, check the impeller cavity for obstructions. If the PH is restricted enough on the intake side, it can cause the impeller to cavitate and this always results in bubbles.

It's well submerged and the screen is constantly cleaned and yes, the outlet orifice is plugged. Can't figure how this thing gets air :?: :?

Maybe small bubbles that u can hardley see are acumulating somewhere around the inside to make up a big bubble that then gets sucked in and chopped into micro bubbles. Just a thought try a sponge on the PH or if u got one try removing it for a hour or so.
