I just got a 60 gallon tank. I have a saltwater tank already but it only has a few corals. Anyways the tank came with a wet dry filter and lots of powerheads. Could I do a coral tank with just this and no protein skimmer? Because I'm trying to make one and it's not working out so well!

Yes with a small bioload you could go without a skimmer and use a wet/dry. Just keep up on their maintenance. They can become nitrate factories. What lighting and corals are you going for?

I have 4 36" bulbs. The fixtures are rated for up to 36watts a bulb. It's t-8. I'm not 100% on what corals I will be getting. In my other tank I have green star polyps and one other polyp. So u will probably start with those two

With T8's you're going to be a bit limited to the corals you can keep. Zoas softies etc.

Ya I know. I'm going to try to grow them so I can frag and sell
