Has anyone very kept these? I really want one. It says they're reef safe with caution. I don't have corals but will they prey on my smaller inverts? (pom pom crabs). The only fish I have in the tank (55g) are two percula clownfish. Would the file fish bully the sluggish clowns? Sorry for the barrage of questions :)

They're reef safe. My friend has a trio in his 40. Awesome little fish and much easier to care for then some of the other files. They're gregarious so a group or pair is better than one.

Ok thanks for the advice. I'm really excited about this little fish. Would it be a bad idea to start with one? They're $40 but most captive bred fish tend to drop in price with time. Like the ora neon goby's just dropped from $30 to $20.

You could but I doubt the price will drop anytime soon. They're a fairly new species from ORA. Maybe do one and get another in a couple weeks?

That sounds good. I'll try to get my lfs to order me one. I'd rather not spend the money on overnight shipping for one fish lol
