Hello guys,

I have had my osmosis filter for 6 months now and, since I am new in the hobby, I know that some part of the filter should be changed periodically but I don't know which one and when. The filter I have has sediment filter, carbon block filter and the membrane.

Can anybody give me some tips please?

Thanks!

How often?

That depends on your water quality. Crappy water would need to have more frequent changes. Pull out a filter cartridge and look at it. If it's all gunky, change it

I change my sediment and carbon out every 6 months. I go through ALOT of water though, but my water going in isnt that horrible, which as stated above can make a difference.

I recently got a rodi system and was wondering the same thing. I was assuming I could base when I needed to change a part based on the tds on the output?? Correct me if I'm wrong but could that be a useful way of knowing when to change something?

Oka! Thanks :)
