I recently upgraded my lighting and with that came a topless tank. At the time I could only afford an HOB style filter (Penguin 350B).
Which brings me to my problem ...
The filter is giving off a lot of Micro bubbles and it's driving me crazy. It makes my water look dirty and I am now toying with the idea of an overflwo style wet/dry!
How reliable are these overflow type systems and what precautions do you have to worry about?
What would be the best way to remove the HOB filter (new to the tank by 3 weeks) and add an overflow wet/dry system?
any certain brands I should look at? what size?
I know all about the media and everything in the wet/dry, but have no experience setting them up ... I may be screwed anyway because my stand is pushed close to the wall and my cabinet has double doors with maybe enough space to fit a 10 maybe 20 gallon tank in!
If I think of anything else I will add it later!
