A fan can have 2 good effects on your tank. First it helps reduce your water temp during summer and second it can increase your oxygen. A PH reading that goes up a little bit without dosing is an indication of oxygen level went up. You will also notice an increase of water evaporation.

I see that a lot of saltwater owners don't use air stones that makes bubbles should I stay with a fan then.

Unless you need to lower your temp, using a powerhead will get a lot better surface agitation and cause less evaporation, too.

Yes air stone is discouraged in salt water tank due to impending effect of bubbles to fish aside from the salt being splashed everywhere gradually lowering salinity.
