Painting back of tank?

I would try different colored cut outs until you know you like it then roll paint on. Backdrops glare and there is know reason to spray paint a flat surface indoors. If you like the cut out then keep it. Masking is a lot easier for roll on verses rolling. Doesn't sound like you have room to spray anyways. Hope it turns out great!

I used a sample can from home depot of cobolt blue i used about half a can for 4 or 5 coats on a 55g
